I believe that Generation Z is the most relatable generation. Why?

  • They are willing to communicate their thoughts and feelings freely.
  • They seek acknowledgement, but not through the conventional means we have been taught.. They find honest feedback, recognition, support, or opposition to be beneficial.
  • They often seek inspiration from various sources to expand their knowledge. Therefore, it’s not surprising that they may not respond to shallow offerings, such as what is presented in the current education system.
  • They may not survive in corporate environments since we cannot offer them a sustainable work-life balance. Through their own questioning process, we learn what needs to change in corporate life today.
  • They prioritize living according to their values and expect others to respect those values. It’s still difficult to understand how we’re ignoring this.

Understanding Generation Z is important for building a successful life together, for reasons beyond those already mentioned.

The challenge of communication that we struggle with generation Z will be vastly different when interacting with the Alpha generation. Unlike previous generations, they possess a level of mental clarity that requires us to adapt in order to understand them.

In conclusion, a generation cannot be defined solely by what is attributed to them. It is critical to learn how to listen and understand, beginning with ourselves.
